Although summer is my favorite season, you just can’t beat this time of the year. The air is starting to get crisp, which means I can wear hoodies and sweatpants. The leaves on the trees are changing to bright orange, yellow, and red. Playoff baseball, college football, NFL football, and even hockey is in full swing. However, there is one thing above all else that completely changes my life every fall. The new Call of Duty.
I’ll be the first one to tell you that I am a complete video game/COD nerd and it doesn’t bother me one bit. It is the one time of year that I know all of the boys will be on a video game together, excited to play. Eventually, this feeling will fade and everyone will go back to their normal lives and almost reset to how they were before the game came out, but I can genuinely say that this is the happiest time of my life. When I am playing Call of Duty with all of my friends into the wee hours of the night, I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Maybe it’s the nostalgic feeling of doing the same thing around this time of year for the past 15 years, but no matter how much my life changes, the one constant in it is Call of Duty. So thanks, COD.
Stay Frosty,
Jarrett
