I am a realist and understand that we don’t live in a
rainbow and butterfly society…
I am not naive to the fact that roadwork and tree trimming
are imperative for the gainfully employed to make it safely to work each day; as
everything in life is based on timing.
When
these events begin, it is truly befuddling to me that the projects are needed
during the drive times for individuals working 8-4:30 or 9-5, especially when
you are in a time crunch to clock in, get your day started efficiently, follow
company policy for hours worked, etc.
It makes
no sense what-so-ever why these projects need to commence during people’s busy
work commutes.
While I
understand not all industries start at the same time, the majority do. As a
result, the roadwork schedule regularly throws a curveball to people and their
schedules.
I
know some critics would say that delaying the start time would directly affect
our drive time home, but those hours do not alter or disturb people’s pay or
company policies on timelines.
Please be considerate of the working
class; there are fewer of us now than ever before and we need all the help we
can get to make this country prosper on a day-to-day basis!!
