People who are not easily swayed by propaganda have probably realized the network with the tetrad of letters in its name is nothing more than a decaying carcass of the TV channel we used to watch as kids.
Similarly to a young child finding out Santa Claus is not as real as they were led to believe, ESPN has alienated and left a generation heartbroken.
Sportscenter, which at one time provided as much excitement on a weekday morning as school being canceled, has slowly become as enjoyable as watching the recent presidential debate.
A senseless narration, tweets from athletes, superfluous hot takes, and a woke anti-American message have replaced the scores and highlights we all adored.
Making matters worse are the commentary and pregame shows, which feature very few original opinions or ideas and constantly discuss large-market teams like the Cowboys, NY Jets, and Lakers.
Those feeble-minded programs feature big-mouthed personalities who have very little knowledge of what they are actually yelling about and are only concerned with their own platforms and social messages.
As ESPN focused on non-sports issues like George Floyd, Roe v. Wade, and Pride Month, it lost its core viewership.
There remain a few top journalists on the network, but overall, the talent pool is no more impressive than Bronny James’ career stats at USC.
In recent years, the network has employed radical and hateful left-wing personalities but dismissed anyone with a different viewpoint. (Sage Steele, Curt Schilling, Britt McHenry, etc.)
Even though it’s difficult to avoid turning on ESPN to watch a game, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to deal with.
There has been a noticeable decline in the quality of PTI, & College Game Day, over the past few seasons and even this year’s NBA & Stanley Cup Finals coverage was disappointing.
Fortunately, we do not have to rely on ESPN for our sports news in modern times, as we once did….The days of score phone, Sportscenter, and the CNN Headline News sports update have been replaced by an excessive amount of sports news sources, many of which are likely to suffer from the same affliction as ESPN, forgetting what they are and why they were created in an attempt to serve the agenda of their often nefarious executives.
All of you who continue to watch ESPN regularly will be in our prayers!
